Rosemarie Gliszcinski

In the early morning hours on Monday, August 18, 2025, a rainbow appeared over Lake Michigan. That was Rosemarie Gliszcinski, 98, of Ludington, making her way to heaven.

Born on July 15, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Walter and Tillie (Wojtowicz) Owczarzak. She graduated from high school in 1945. On Nov. 20, 1946, she married Eugene Gliszcinski.

Rosemarie was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and dedicated 47 years to the Catholic Daughters. She was a woman of deep faith and let her faith guide her through many challenges in her life. Rosemarie enjoyed working various church events, was a faithful adorer in the adoration chapel, and a longtime volunteer of the St. Simon Bargain Center and the LAC Applefest.

She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by many.

Rosemarie is survived by her daughter Kathy Gliszcinski; grandson Rich, and his wife Cari, and their children Alex, Sklar, and Sydney; and granddaughter Jennifer, and her partner Rich, and their son Ryan.

In addition to her parents and her husband Eugene, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her children Tom, baby Lawrence, Suzanne and Joanne, her sisters and their husbands.

A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington, with Rev. Wayne B. Wheeler Jr. presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.
