LUDINGTON — Cartier Mansion Bed & Breakfast, 409 E. Ludington Ave., was again nominated for the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Award for Best Historical B&B in America for 2025. This marks the second consecutive year of recognition, following its win in 2024.
Built in 1905, the Cartier Mansion is an example of neoclassical architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its exterior features Roman pressed brick and Bedford limestone, while inside, stunning mahogany, oak, cherry, and walnut woodwork complements meticulously preserved period antiques and fine art.
“We’re incredibly honored to be nominated again by Newsweek readers,” said Jenna Simpler, owner of Cartier Mansion. “This nomination reflects our ongoing dedication to preserving the mansion’s legacy and providing extraordinary experiences. We’re excited for the chance to earn the title again with the support of our community and loyal guests.”
Guests enjoy an immersive historical experience with modern comforts, including daily gourmet breakfasts featuring local ingredients, lavish amenities, high-speed Wi-Fi, personalized climate control, and state-of-the-art entertainment.
“Cartier Mansion’s continued recognition from Newsweek highlights Ludington’s reputation as a top destination for history and hospitality,” said Brandy Miller, executive director of the Ludington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This B&B perfectly embodies our community’s rich heritage, offering a truly immersive historical experience.”
Cartier Mansion was selected by a panel of travel experts and Newsweek editors as one of the country’s top historical B&Bs.
