Norma was a woman of strong faith which provided her peace and comfort in her last days. She faithfully attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer and prayed the Rosary every day. She loved to work on puzzles and was a very accomplished colored pencil artist. She also enjoyed crocheting where she could make beautiful items for her family. Norma’s favorite time was spent reading; often her Bible where she was very well versed in the scriptures and would enjoy engaging Father Dan in conversation about what she had just studied. Her favorite hangout was at Country Critters Restaurant in Walhalla until they closed, always looking forward to great conversation with her friends.
Along with her husband Ted, Norma was also preceded in death by her parents; her son Edward Berwanger; her brother Jack Dinelli; and her sister RuthAnn Belcher.
Norma will be greatly missed by her sons Andrew (Jody) Grimes and Albert Grimes all of Branch; her daughter-in-law Dawn Berwanger; her grandchildren Corey, Joe, and Nathan Berwanger, Stephanie, Kaylee, and Annabelle Grimes; and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Norma at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer with Rev. Dan DePew as celebrant.
