Man injured in dirt bike crash

GRANT TOWNSHIP —  A 26-year-old Muskegon man received “non-life-threatening injuries” after he crashed a dirt bike in the federal forest Friday, July 4, shortly before 1:30 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The crash occurred on Federal Forest Road #8040, said the sheriff.

Thursday, July 3, 2025:

• 10:21 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 44-year-old Frankfort man was cited for operating without a license, operating without insurance and operating without registration following a traffic stop, Pere Marquette Highway and Sixth Street, Pere Marquette Township.
• 1:02 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Kitner Road, Eden Township.
• 10:11 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 53-year-old Ludington man was cited for operating without insurance following a traffic stop near Tinkham and Washington avenues, City of Ludington.

Friday, July 4, 2025:

• 3:29 a.m., (LPD), a 22-year-old Alabama male was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop near Washington Avenue and Loomis Street, City of Ludington.
• 3:34 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 10 near Stephens Road, Custer Township.
• 8:24 p.m., (LPD), a 61-year-old Ludington man and a 43-year-old Ludington woman were
  arrested for assault and battery, 700 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. They were
  lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, July 5, 2025:

• 12:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of LaSalle Road, Victory Township.
• 12:30 a.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Harrison man was cited for driving while license revoked following a traffic stop, US 10 and Gordon Road, Amber Township.
• 4:39 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Branch Township.
• 5:36 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:08 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 11:52 p.m., (LPD), a 33-year-old Ludington man was arrested for malicious destruction of property and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, 300 block of South Adams Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, July 6, 2025:

• 2:55 a.m., (LPD), a 37-year-old Scottville man was arrested for larceny and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, 200 block of East Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 9:52 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers, Pere Marquette Township.
• 10:02 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 4400 block of US 10, Amber Township.
• 5:20 p.m., (MCSO), a 30-year-old Scottville man was arrested for possession of meth following a reported suspicious situation, 8500 block of East US 10, Branch Township.
• 9:57 p.m., (LPD), a 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant issued by Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court, 200 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason
  County Jail.
