The following is police activity over the weekend in Mason County:
Friday, June 27, 2025:
- 8:22 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a warrant for cocaine possession is being requested for a 53-year-old Manistee County man following a traffic stop, US 10-31 and Amber Road, Amber Township.
- 9:31 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash, no injury, 3800 block of West US 10-31, Amber Township.
- 2:46 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
- 5:52 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle rear-end crash, US 10-31 and Stiles Road, Amber Township. A 70-year-old Shawnee, Kansas woman, who was a passenger, and a 68-year-old Ludington woman, who was the driver of the other vehicle, were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
- 9:58 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 26-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Saturday, June 28, 2025:
- 5:45 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Marrison Road east of Ordway Road, Eden Township.
- 5:50 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles north of US 10-31, Amber Township.
- 5 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property, 3100 block of West Conrad Road, Amber Township. The complainant reported bullet holes in a 22-foot Starcraft boat.
- 6:05 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
Sunday, June 29, 2025:
- 9:55 a.m., (MCSO) two-vehicle crash, no injury, First Street and Amber Road, Amber Township.
- 11:42 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
- 8:59 p.m., (MCSO), a 22-year-old Fountain woman was arrested on two outstanding Mason County warrants, 6500 block of East Beech Street, Sheridan Township. The warrants were for failure to appear and contempt of court.
- 9:08 p.m., (LPD), a 44-year-old Branch woman was arrested for probation violation and open intoxicants, and a 37-year-old Ludington man was arrested for a probation violation, no insurance, no operator’s license and open intoxicants following a request to assist with a call in the 700 block of North Jebavy Drive, City of Ludington. They were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Darr Road north of Wilson Road, Custer Township.
Monday, June 30, 2025:
- Midnight, (LPD) a 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant issued in Manistee County and for resisting arrest, 200 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
