PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas have an opportunity to secure $5,000 in startup funds by participating in the seventh Momentum 5×5 Pitch Competition, which makes its return to on Monday, August 11.
All applications are due by July 11. From all entries, five finalists will be selected to present their business ideas to a panel of judges at Epworth Heights. One deserving winner will receive a $5,000 prize in the “Shark Tank”-style competition.
The Chamber Alliance of Mason County administers the Momentum 5×5 program, dedicated to fostering the growth of new businesses in Mason County and providing essential startup funds for innovative ideas. Epworth sponsors both the cash prize and the pitch night event.
The winner will also receive in-kind gifts from Epworth, including:
- An advertisement in the Epworth Annual
- An invitation to host a booth at Epworth’s early-season open house to promote the business to cottagers
- The opportunity to take the stage at the following year’s Momentum 5×5 event to share updates about the business with a captive audience of cottagers and the Mason County community
Previous winners include Sister Bees, My Inspired Studio (now Faire Heart), House and Harbor, Lakeshore Swim School, The SandBox, and Kavana Bees.
