Mason County College Access Network, in collaboration with the Mason County Promise and West Shore Community College, is hosting support workshops for college-curious folks.
WSCC academic advisors Jack Boitel and Amy Pepper, Mason County Promise Zone Post-Secondary Advisor Emily Merten, and Mason County College Access Network Communications Developer Talea Fournier will host drop-in sessions at the Mason County District Library branches throughout the summer.
College access support includes:
- Help with signing up for and completing WSCC online orientation
- Applying to attend other Michigan institutions
- Applying for the FAFSA or working through financial aid award information from schools
- Applying to Mason County Promise, Michigan ReConnect (for ages 25 and up without a degree), and more.
Upcoming dates for summer college-going support:
Tuesday, June 24, 9 to 11 a.m., Scottville Library, 204 E. State St. Scottville
Wednesday, July 9, 1 to 3 p.m., Ludington Library, 217 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington (Zonta Room).
