MSP asking for help in locating missing person

UPDATE, Friday, June 6, 2025, 9 p.m.: Mr. Peterson was located in a wooded area and transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Michigan State Police Hart Post is requesting help in locating Jack Albert Peterson, a 67-year-old male, described as 6 feet, 6 inches tall, 200 pounds with green eyes, and brown/graying hair.

Last contact with Peterson was the afternoon of Sunday, June 1 near Irons Road and 4 Mile Road, Irons, Lake County. His vehicle, phone, and personal belongings are still at his residence. Peterson has been previously diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact Lake County Central Dispatch at 231-745-2711. If anyone lives in this area, you are asked to check all outbuildings.
