LUDINGTON — A 52-year-old Ludington man was arrested after a Mason County sheriff’s deputy, who was conducting checks on persons on the sex offender registry, found that the suspect was not, nor had he ever, lived at a residence he listed in Sheridan Township, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The suspect was arrested Saturday, May 31, shortly before 9 a.m. in the 800 block of East Russell Street. “During the investigation and follow-up interviews, he was found in the City of Ludington residing at a home not listed as his address,” said Sheriff Cole.
He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

- 9:05 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 19-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle and driving without a license following a traffic stop near Loomis Street and Rath Avenue, City of Ludington.
Saturday, May 31, 2025:
- 2:39 a.m., (MCSO), a 42-year-old Muskegon man was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, North Main Street and Johnson Road, City of Scottville.
- 2:25 p.m., (LPD), a 30-year-old Scottville woman was arrested on two warrants, 300 block of
North Delia Street, City of Ludington. One of the warrants was for probation violation issued by Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court, and the second warrant was for failure to appear issued in Muskegon County. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail. - 10:52 p.m., (LPD), a 33-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant and and a charge of cocaine possession. 800 block of North Rowe Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

- 7:08 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of a snowmobile trailer, 4800 block of East Sippy Road, Logan Township).
- 7:15 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
- 4:34 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 6:10 p.m., (LPD), a 62-year-old Cedar Springs woman was arrested for disorderly conduct following a call in the 100 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10:21 p.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Scottville man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, 1900 block of South Scottville Road, Custer Township.
