Public Hearing Notice: Community Block Development Grant

Mason County will conduct a public hearing on July 8, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the conference room at the Mason County Airport Terminal, 5300 W. US 10, to allow citizens to examine and submit comments on Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) funds.

Mason County proposes to use $1,500,000.00 in CDBG funds to perform Home Improvement Projects for low- to moderate-income households. Zero people will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities.

Further information, including a copy of Mason County’s community development plan and CDBG application, is available for review. To inspect the documents, please contact Kaitlyn Szczypka at kszczypka@masoncounty.net or review at the Mason County Airport Terminal, 5300 W. US 10, Ludington, Michigan. Comments may be submitted in writing through July 7, 2025, or in person at the public hearing.

Mason County has successfully implemented a number of CDBG programs funded by the State.

Citizen comments on the proposed application are welcome.
