Men Who Care donates to HELP Ministries

LUDINGTON — Men Who Care of Mason County made its most recent donation to Hands Extending Loving People (HELP) Ministries, a total of $3,275. The group chose HELP as its beneficiary during its quarterly meeting, held May 6. This was the second meeting of the newly-formed group. During its meetings, local non-profit charitable organizations are nominated for pitches from one of the attendees. Three groups are picked at random and the spokesman has five minutes to give a pitch. The group then votes. Each man in attendance vows to donate $50 to the organization that is chosen. Women Who Care of Mason County has been meeting for several years.

The Children’s Advocacy Center was the first beneficiary of Men Who Care of Mason County when it held its inaugural meeting in February. The group will meet again on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at People’s Church, 115 W. Loomis St.

Hands Extended Loving People (HELP) is a non-profit, faith based service ministry. The primary focus of HELP is to meet needs in cooperation with other agencies, ministries and churches in Mason County. HELP was formed in 1998. 

All items given to clients from HELP are given free of charge. Most of the goods provided to clients have been donated to HELP. The organization also provides medical transportation for seniors. Learn more here.
