The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Thursday, May 22, 2025:

  • 9:23 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Benson Road north of US 10, Branch Township.
  • 1:39 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Summit Township.
  • 2:25 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Orchard Avenue, City of Ludington.
  • 6:36 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of the Pere Marquette Highway overpass, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 7:26 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.

Friday, May 23, 2025:

  • 10:22 a.m., (MCSO), a 32-year-old Scottville woman was arrested on two outstanding Mason County warrants after she was observed sitting in a vehicle in the West Shore Bank parking lot, West State Street, City of Scottville. One warrant was for probation violation, and the other was for failure to appear.  She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 11:58 a.m., (MCSO), larceny from a vehicle, West Shore Community College Ice Arena parking lot, Stiles Road, Victory Township. The complainant reported the theft of cash and a debit card from a vehicle.
  • 4:11 p.m., (MCSO), a 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop, US 10 and Quarterline Road, Amber Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 7:31 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant issued in Oceana County’s 79th District Court, 900 block of East Tinkham Avenue City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 8:04 p.m., (MCSO), a 69-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after he reportedly crashed his vehicle at the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Chauvez Road in Pere Marquette Township and left the scene. He was located in the 6200 block of South Lakeshore Drive after his vehicle was found roadside, disabled from the crash. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 10:03 p.m., (LPD), a 47-year-old Swarz Creek man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop near North Lakeshore Drive and Court Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 11:22 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.

Saturday, May 24, 2025:

  • 2:09 a.m., (LPD), an 18-year-old Manistee man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 7:06 a.m., (MCSO), a 33-year-old Ludington man turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, City of Ludington.
  • 10:22 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.

Sunday, May 25, 2025:

  • 12:47 a.m., (LPD), a 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a Mason County warrant, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 1:38 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Scottville Road south of Conrad Road, Custer Township.

Monday, May 26, 2025:

  • 3:56 p.m., (LPD), an 18-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while unlicensed following a complaint near the intersection of William and Loomis streets, City of Ludington. 
  • 10:56 p.m., (MCSO), a 45-year-old Branch woman was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 8800 block of East US 10, Branch Township.
