SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central third graders, taught by Cheri Stibitz, released several dozen young salmon into the Pere Marquette River on Thursday at Scottville Riverside Park. The class raised the salmon from 150 eggs since November that were supplied through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ Salmon in the Classroom program.
