LUDINGTON — The Scottville Clown Band will perform its 2025 Patriotic Concert at Waterfront Park on Tuesday, June 24 beginning at 7 p.m. Traditionally, the annual concert has been held at the Scottville Clown Band Shell in Scottville. However, that facility is undergoing renovations this summer.
The Patriotic Concert is a unique performance by the Clown Band. Rather than mixing the show with various themes of music and antics, this concert is all Americana, in the spirit of Independence Day.
The concert is being presented by House of Flavors, Inc. During the concert, the band will also ask for a free-will offering from the audience to contribute to its Raymond Schulte Student Services Fund, which provides scholarships to middle school and high school students attending summer music education programs and also provides grants to public school music programs in Mason, Lake, Manistee, and Oceana counties.
Groundbreaking of the Scottville Optimist Park, which includes the Scottville Clown Band Shell, took place last week. Renovations are scheduled to begin soon. Read related story here.
For those who can’t wait until June 24 to see the Clown Band, it will perform locally Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the Baldwin Amvets and Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at the Blessing of the Bikes Festival at Wenger Pavilion in downtown Baldwin. On Saturday, June 21 it will perform for a fundraiser at the Custer VFW at 2 p.m.
