The following Halloween events scheduled for Mason and Oceana counties have been reported to Mason County Press and Oceana County Press. If your organization is holding an event, please email: allison@mediagroup31.com. Begin the subject line with “Halloween Event.”

The following are trick-or-treating and Halloween events scheduled in Oceana and Mason counties:

Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024:
8-11 p.m., Haunted Acres, 7970 W. Park Rd., New Era. $25 admission per person.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024:
8-11 p.m., Haunted Acres, 7970 W. Park Rd., New Era. $25 admission per person.
Friday, Oct. 18, 2024:
 7-10 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer. Free event.
Saturday, Oct, 19, 2024:
7-10 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer. Free event.
8-11 p.m., Haunted Acres, 7970 W. Park Rd., New Era. $25 admission per person.
Friday, Oct. 25, 2024:
 7-10 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer. Free event.
Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024:
Noon to 1 p.m., trick-or-treating on the dunes, Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
Noon to 2 p.m., Halloween Spooktacular, Village Green, Pentwater. Costume contest, Halloween activities, goody bags, Spooky Scavenger Hunt, trick-or-treating with village merchants.
5:30–6:30 p.m., community members will be set up on the sidewalks along 1st Street in New Era to hand out candy.
6–8 p.m., village-wide trick-or-treating, Village of New Era.
7-10 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer. Free event.
8-11 p.m., Haunted Acres, 7970 W. Park Rd., New Era. $25 admission per person.

Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024:

1:15 p.m., Spitler Elementary School Halloween parade, students and teachers dress up in their costumes and parade through town with the Hart High School Marching Band.

3-5 p.m., trick-or-treating, Shelby Area District Library.

3-5 p.m., trick-or-treating with participating businesses, downtown Hart. Look for the jack-o-lantern in the businesses’ windows for trick-or-treating participation.

5-7 p.m., trick-or-treating, Village of Pentwater. Enjoy free homemade donuts provided by the Pentwater Fire Department at the fire station.

6-7:30 p.m., Village of Rothbury drive-through Halloween celebration, goody bags and hot dogs will be distributed, Rothbury Community Center, 7160 Oceana Dr.

6-8 p.m., trick-or-treating, City of Hart.

6 to 8 p.m., city-wide trick-or-treating. City of Scottville.

6-8 p.m., Shelby Trunk or Treat, the Shelby Shelby-Benona Fire Department, businesses and neighbors will hand out treats on Michigan Avenue, which closes at 5 p.m. There will be a trunk decorating contest with prizes from the fire department. Arrive at 5 p.m. if you’re planning to decorate.

6-9 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Custer. Free event.
