The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, Sept. 20, 2024:

  • 10:35 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Hansen Road, Amber Township.
  • 9:22 p.m., (MCSO), a warrant is being requested for a 42-year-old Manistee woman following an investigation into a reported retail fraud, Walmart, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:02 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Wilson Road east of Tuttle Road, Custer Township.

Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024:

  • 12:15 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 33-year-old Scottville man was arrested on a warrant near the intersection of Danaher and George streets, City of Ludington. The warrant was for failure to appear in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court on a charge of methamphetamine possession. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 4:55 a.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old homeless man was arrested on an Oceana County failure to appear warrant, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.  He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 8:44 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
  • 10:44 p.m., (MCSO), a 48-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 600 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.

Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024:

  • 12:37 a.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Scottville man was arrested on two outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrants, Oceana Drive and Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township.
  • 2:09 a.m., (LPD), a 33-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated near the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Ferry Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. 
  • 5:31 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Stiles Road, Riverton Township
  • 7:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Walhalla Road south of Barothy Road, Branch Township.
