MCC Food Service offering free summer meals in Scottville, Ludington, Victory Twp.

SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central Food Service is again offering free summer meals to children at various locations in Ludington, Scottville, and Victory Township. The free meals are non-income based, open to anyone ages 18 and younger or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an education program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency. Some locations include both breakfast and lunch. Meals are “dine-in” only, there will not be pick-up or take-home meals this year.

Serving days are Monday through Friday beginning today, June 10 through Aug. 9, unless indicated. Meals will not be served July 3 and 4.

Serving centers include:

The following are the locations, dates, and meals provided:

  • MCC Upper Elementary, 505 W. Maple St., Scottville, through June 28: Breakfast, 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. to noon
  • Emanuel Lutheran Church, 501 E. Danaher St., Ludington: Lunch, 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Mason County District Library Ludington Branch, 217 E. Ludington Ave.: Lunch, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Waterfront Park, 300 S. William St., Ludington: Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Copeyon Park and splash pad, 1006 S. Washington Ave., Ludington: Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 8 through Aug. 9.
  • West Shore Community Ice Arena, West Shore Community College, 3000 N. Stiles Rd., Victory Township: Breakfast, 8:30 to 9 a.m.; lunch, noon to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Open through Aug. 15. Closed week of July 1.
