On Aug. 6, Michigan will hold its primary election. During that election, partisan candidates will be selected to be their party’s nominee for the Nov. 5 General Election. Additionally, in some non-partisan races, if there are more than two candidates, the voters will narrow their choices to two finalists for the General Election.
Polls are open on election day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters also have the option for early in-person voting. Click here for more information. They can also apply for an absentee ballot.
