The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, May 3, 2024:

  • 7:06 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
  • 9:11 a.m., (MCSO), disturbance, 2500 block of East Michigan Street, Free Soil Township.
  • 11″16 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested during a traffic stop for a felony warrant issued in Muskegon County, Washington Avenue and Tinkham Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail .
  • 12:54 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Kinney and Strickler roads, Logan Township.
  • 4:54 p.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, 5500 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 8:18 p.m., (MCSO), a Mason County woman was arrested for an outstanding methamphetamine possession warrant following a traffic stop, Benson Road near Decker Road, Sheridan Township.
  • 9:46 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 and Fountain Road, Sherman Township.

Saturday, May 4, 2024:

  • 12:13 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
  • 10:24 a.m., (LPD), a 46-year-old homeless man was arrested following a call for a wellbeing check on the man, 800 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington.  He was arrested on a warrant issued by the 51st Circuit Court for multiple probation violations. and lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 7:57 p.m., (LPD), a 45-year-old Manistee man was arrested for third-offense domestic assault, carrying a concealed weapon, and assaulting/resisting/opposing police following an incident in the 700 Block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 9:45 p.m., (MCSO), missing people, both were located, Old Free Soil Road, Grant Township.

Sunday, May 5, 2024:

  • 12:02 a.m., (MCSO), a 55-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), Fountain and Stiles roads, Victory Township.
  • 6:13 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, US 31 near Chauvez Road, PEre Marquette Township.
  • 7:38 p., (LPD), a 48-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, open intoxicants and DWLS following a traffic stop near Bryant and Gaylord streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
