SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — During the chaos of a fire at 7784 E. Sugar Grove Rd. Wednesday, Michigan State Police Trooper Mike Veltman took time to reassure one of the many dogs on the property that everything would be OK. Veltman said it’s always a good day at work when he can pet a friendly dog.
