American Legion to hold Stuff the Bus fundraiser for Wilwin Lodge

March 12, 2024

LUDINGTON — The American Legion Auxiliary will hold a fundraiser, Stuff the Bus, to benefit Wilwin Lodge at Cygnet Cove on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at American Legion Post #76, 318 N. James St.

The Wilwin Lodge is owned and operated by the Michigan American Legion and is located in Eden Township and serves as a rest and recuperation facility for disabled combat veterans and to provide therapeutic and recreational activities for patients healing from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

Participants are asked to bring items to load up a Ludington Mass Transit Authority bus. Some of those items in need include paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue (square boxes), paper plates, bounce dryer sheets, kitchen towels (not white), large totes, garbage bags (all sizes), bird seed, and flower seeds.

Participating partners include American Legion Post #76, Sons of the American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion, American Legion Riders, Ludington Mass Transit Authority and Meraki Koffie.
