Ludington officers busy with OWI arrests

LUDINGTON — Ludington police officers arrested a 35-year-old Norton Shores woman for third-offense operating while intoxicated Tuesday, Feb. 27, shortly after 8 p.m. following a traffic stop near the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Gaylord Street, according to Cpt. Michael Haveman. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

A 39-year-old Hart man was arrested for OWI following a traffic stop near the intersection of Dowland and Madison streets Wednesday, Feb. 28, shortly after 9 p.m. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024:

  • 7:55 a.m., alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.

Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024:

  • 10:40 a.m., two-vehicle crash, minor injury, Hansen Road and Cedar Lane, Amber Township.
  • 10:55 a.m., ​larceny of construction equipment, 900 block of North Lakeshore Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 2:36 p.m., vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, Dewey Road east of Lincoln Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 9:30 p.m., a 23-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant issued in Mason County, 5300 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:26 p.m., a 26-year-old Free Soil man was arrested on an outstanding felony bad check warrant issued by the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, 8300 block of North Custer Road, Free Soil Township.
