51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted Feb. 26, 2024

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Maul

– Danial C. Maul, 48, pleaded guilty Jan. 2, 2024 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Feb. 20, 2024 to 30 days in jail with credit for nine days served; three years probation; and $1,133 in fines and costs.

Hargain

– Melissa Lee Hargain, 41, pleaded guilty Jan. 2, 2024 to uttering and publishing and embezzlement $1,000-$20,000 and was sentenced Feb. 20, 2024 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; four years probation; and $4,326 in fines, costs and restitution. Two counts of uttering a publishing were dismissed.

Bishop

– Lindsey Nichole Bishop, 39, pleaded guilty Jan. 9, 2024 to failure to return rented property $1,000-$20,000 and was sentenced Feb. 20, 2024 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 11 months probation; and $3,829 in fines, costs and restitution. The sentence is delayed until Jan. 20, 2025 at which time the charge could be reduced if she successfully completes the delayed sentence.

Delayed sentences

Garland

– Melissa Jean Garland, 30, received a reduced misdemeanor conviction of domestic violence Feb. 20, 2024 after successfully completing an 11-month delayed sentence for a felony conviction of assault with a dangerous weapon, which was dismissed.

Lopez

– Loreto Ulesis Lopez, 25, received a reduced misdemeanor conviction of fifth-degree arson Feb. 20, 2024 after successfully completing an 11-month delayed sentence for a felony conviction of fourth-degree arson, which was dismissed.
