Obituary: Stanley “Gary” Kondracki, 75, of Custer

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, Stanley “Gary” Kondracki, 75, of Custer, left this world peacefully. He came into this world on November 6, 1948, in Ypsilanti, as the son of Stanley and Margaret (Shepherd) Kondracki.

Gary spent 30 years of his life working for Ford Motor Company. He earned a reputation for being patient, understanding, and reliable in his work and personal life. He was a man of integrity, generosity, and honesty.

Gary enjoyed his hobbies in his spare time. He was a longtime member of the Fin and Feather Club of Mason County and taught hunter safety classes there with his wife, Darlene. He had a knack for making birdhouses and loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Gary was a loving husband and father to his best friend, Darlene, and her son, Eric. He embraced his role as father wholeheartedly and never saw himself as a step-father. He treasured his time as a grandfather.

Gary is survived by his son, Eric (Eileen) Brandt, and grandsons, Kenneth, Dylan, and Alexander Brandt.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene McMann Kondracki, and his parents, Stanley and Margaret Kondracki.

Gary’s funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church in Sheridan Township. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fin and Feather Club of Mason County or to the church.
