79th District Court arraignments, posted Jan. 25, 2024

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
Emory
-Eric Joseph Emory, 38; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy), failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance), and fourth offense habitual offender; arrested Jan. 21 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 22; probable cause hearing: Jan. 31; bail: $10,000/10 percent.
Churchill
-Amy Lynn Churchill, 35; custodial kidnapping; arrested Dec. 25 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Jan. 23; probable cause hearing: Jan. 31; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
Ramirez
-Jayden Edward Ramirez, 19; two counts of assaulting a jail employee; arrested Jan. 10 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 22; probable cause hearing: Jan. 31; bail: $500/10 percent.
Rouwhorst
-Jason Thomas Rouwhorst, 40; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy) and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 or above, arrested Jan. 22 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 23; probable cause hearing: Jan. 31; bail: $500/10 percent.
Misdemeanors
-Madalyn Ella Looman, 21; third-degree retail fraud; arrested Nov. 26 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 23; pretrial: Feb. 12; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
-David Michael Chansler, 40; larceny between $200-$1,000; arrested June 18, 2023 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 18; pretrial: Feb. 12; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
-Matthew Ralph Goodwin, 46; domestic violence; arrested Jan. 21 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Jan. 22; pretrial: Feb. 5; bail: $2,500/10 percent.
-Devonta Gene Young, 28; assault and battery; arrested Jan. 22 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Jan. 23; pretrial: Feb. 5; bail: $2,500 personal recognizance.
-Scott Allen Raskey, 51; failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance), improper plates, and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle; arrested Jan. 3 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 18; pretrial: Feb. 12; bail: personal recognizance.
-Jessica Lynn Haynes, 28; transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and refusing a preliminary breath test; arrested Jan. 11 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Jan. 18; pretrial: Feb. 12; bail: personal recognizance.
-Ashley Marie Hannah, 35; driving while license suspended; arrested Jan. 7 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Jan. 18; pretrial: Feb. 5; bail: personal recognizance.
