Friday, Dec. 15, 2023

  • 2:04 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), a 39-year-old Bangor man was cited following a traffic stop for driving while license suspended, fifth offense, US 10-31 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.
  • 6:55 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Quarterline Road north of Townline Road, Grant Township.
  • 7:30 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Quarterline Road north of Gurney Road, Grant Township.

Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023

  • 7:04 a.m., MCSO, damaged property, road signs, Sugar Grove Road between US 31 and Stiles Road, Victory Township. Several traffic control road signs were spray painted.
  • 7:51 a.m., MCSO, a 28-year-old Fountain man was arrested on two outstanding Mason County 51st Circuit Court warrants on the charges of failure to appear in court. The arrest occurred after a deputy responded to the 2200 block of North Benson Road, Sheridan Township, for a loud noise complaint.
  • 8:46 a.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD), a 33-year-old Custer man was arrested for home invasion and assault in the 600 block of East Foster Street.
  • 7:34 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Sippy Road east of Stickney Road, Eden Township.

Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023

  • 1:34 a.m., LPD, a 51-year-old homeless man was arrested at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital, 1 Atkinson Dr., on a warrant out of Mason County for failure to appear in court.
  • 12:52 p.m., MCSO, two-vehicle crash, minor injuries, Jebavy Drive and Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:43 p.m., MCSO, a 52-year-old Branch woman was arrested following a 911 call that reported an assault in the 8900 block of East Kinney Road, Logan Township.
  • 10:44 p.m., MCSO, deputies discovered a stolen vehicle in the 6600 block of East Sherman Road (4th Street), Sheridan Township. According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, deputies were called to a vehicle blocking the road at Tallman Lake and Sherman roads. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle that appeared to not have been drivable for some time. Upon contacting the owner, it was discovered the vehicle had been stolen and towed away from a residence. Cole said the two strap apparently failed as the suspect(s) were pulling the vehicle and the vehicle was abandoned.
