Man pleads guilty to stalking charges

LUDINGTON — A 30-year-old man pleaded guilty to a felony of aggravated stalking and a misdemeanor of stalking in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Michael Allen Alexander, 30, is being prosecuted as a third-offense habitual offender.

The charges arise from two separate criminal cases involving two different female victims.

A second felony count of aggravated stalking and a misdemeanor count of malicious destruction of property will be dismissed.

Sentencing guidelines in the matter are seven to 34 months, said Mason County Prosecutor Lauren Kreinbrink.

Alexander, who is lodged in the Mason County Jail on a $50,000/cash/surety bond, has previous felony convictions of fleeing and eluding police and carrying a concealed weapon, said Kreinbrink.

Sentencing is set for Jan. 16 at 11 a.m.
