Kirby awarded $500 grant from Preferred Credit Union

LUDINGTON — Ludington High School physical education teacher Rich Kirby received a special surprise Tuesday morning when he was presented with a $500 check from Preferred Credit Union. Each year the credit union presents a grant to a teacher to be used for the classroom. Preferred Credit Union members nominate recipients who are then selected at random. Kirby was selected by LHS student Connor Chaney.
“Mr. Kirby is a great teacher,” Connor said. “He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He is always supportive of me and the other students.”
