Obituary: Eric Walle, 43, of Scottville

Eric Jason Scott Walle, 43, of Scottville passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.  Even though he was taken away from this world much too soon, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in his family.

Eric was born to Robert Walle and Kay (Moore) Walle in Grand Rapids on September 9, 1980.  He graduated from Mason County High School excelling in academics and enjoyed golf in his free time. He continued his education at Grand Valley State University where he received two bachelor’s degrees, one in business and one in finance. It was during his college years he met the love of his life, Tracy.  They were married in 2006 and welcomed their son, Owen, in 2013.

Anyone honored to know Eric knew one of his proudest accomplishments was being Owen’s dad.  He enjoyed spending his free time as a family fishing, camping, and playing catch with Owen.  His family and friends will remember him most for his loving heart, witty personality and always perfectly timed sarcasm.  Eric was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, uncle and friend to many.

Eric is survived by his wife, Tracy; proud dad to son, Owen; his mother, Kay (Moore) Walle of Scottville; father, Robert Walle of Chase; bonus father, Terry Church of Ravenna; siblings, Travis (Kandi) Walle and Ryan Walle of Scottville, Craig (Penny Haik) Walle of Free Soil, Roberta (Brad) Dixon of St. Petersburg, Florida, Keith Walle of Morley Stanwood; grandmother, Ruth Moore of Irons; mother-in-law, Christine Vissers of Ludington; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Les) Ankersen, Carol (Zac) Hubbard, Tricia (Dan) Wisniewski, Rachel and Emmalie Vissers; brother-in-law, Jeremey Wilder and John Vissers; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
