51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted Oct. 4, 2023

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Turowski

– Lori Louis Turowski, 49, pleaded guilty Aug. 8, 2023 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Oct. 3, 2023 to one year in jail with credit for two days served; three years probation; and $1,073 in fines and costs. Charges of reckless driving and open intoxicants were dismissed.

Southern

– Dustin Ried Southern, 36, pleaded guilty Aug. 8, 2023 to failure to pay child support and was sentenced Oct. 3, 2023 to 84 days in jail with credit for 84 days served and $398 in fines and costs. Southern is currently incarcerated in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison serving a one and a half to 15 year term for a conviction of methamphetamine possession.

McKinley

– Jon Howard McKinley III, 33, pleaded guilty Aug. 8, 2023 to interfering with electronic communications and disorderly person — jostling and was sentenced Oct. 3, 2023 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; two years probation; and $741 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

Ayers

– Christopher Tyler Ayers, 26, pleaded guilty July 18, 2023 to interfering with electronic communications and domestic violence and received a delayed sentence Oct. 3, 2023 of five days in jail with credit for five days served; 11 months probation; and $908 in fines and costs. A delayed sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 20, 2024.
