LUDINGTON — The M/V Sam Laud leaves Ludington harbor Wednesday evening during sunset. The 634-foot-long freighter was heading to St. Joseph. Built in 1975 at Bay Shipbuilding Co. in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., the ship is owned by GATX.
