Police news, posted Sept. 1, 2023

The following is police activity in Mason County Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023:

  • 6:49 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Amber Township.
  • 7:14 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
  • 11:20 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lincoln Road north of Mavis Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 7:20 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 22-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for bond violation after showing up a residence and creating a disturbance, 1900 block of North Lincoln Road, Hamlin Township. Among the people at the residence was a second female, who the suspect was not to have contact with.
  • ​9:13 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​​Ludington officers were called to investigate a report of domestic assault and battery, 700 block of West Lowell Street, City of  Ludington. A 33-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for resisting and opposing police. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail. No injuries resulted from the incident.
