Obituary: Donnie Francis, 47, of Branch

Donnie Dean Francis, 47, of Branch, died on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital.  Donnie was born on July 26, 1975 in Baxter, Tenn., the daughter of Alex and Linda (Rodgers) Francis, moved with her family to Mason County in 1987 and graduated from Mason County Eastern High School with the class of 1993.  She later married Ricky Plasterer and worked as a waitress at Country Critters restaurant in Branch Towship for several years.

Donnie loved all types of animals, but was especially fond of her beloved dogs Fugor, Angel, Lady, and Half-Pint.   She enjoyed being outdoors caring for her many pets and spending time relaxing in her swimming pool soaking up the sunshine and fresh air.

Donnie was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Linda Francis; her brother Alan Francis; and her sister Jeannie Beaudrie.  She will be greatly missed by her husband Ricky; her brother Mark Francis of Westland; her aunt Wanda “Danita” and Daryl Francis of Ypsilanti; and many cousins and good friends.

Friends may meet with her family on Friday, July 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a time of visitation at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services in Scottville with a remembering ceremony to follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jay Piper of Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church officiating .  Those who wish to remember Donnie with a memorial donation are asked to please consider assisting her family with expenses.
