Big crowd for first Stearns Park bonfire

LUDINGTON — A large crowd gathered Monday evening for the first Stearns Park beach bonfire of the summer. The event, sponsored by the Ludington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, was originally scheduled for last Thursday, but was postponed due to air conditions. Two more bonfires are scheduled for the summer: Thursday, July 27 and Thursday, Aug. 31. The bonfires begin about 8 p.m.
