79th District Court arraignments, posted June 26, 2023

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
McCloskey
-Pamela Sue McCloskey, 58, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, domestic violence, and assault and battery; arrested June 17 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 18; probable cause hearing: June 28; bail: $500/10 percent.
Verboam
-Michaela Lou Verboam, 29, tampering with an electronic monitoring device; arrested June 9 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 16; probable cause hearing: June 28; bail: $1,000/10 percent.
Engels
-Michael Robert Engels, 47, interfering with electronic communications and domestic violence; arrested June 19 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 19; probable cause hearing: June 28; bail: $250/10 percent.
Misdemeanors
-Joyce Rose Clark, 38; third degree retail fraud; arrested April 20 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 15; plea and sentencing: July 12; bail: $250 cash.
-Lindsey Lee Towns, 33, breaking and entering; arrested May 5 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: personal recognizance.
-Amy Lou Plough, 71, third degree retail fraud; arrested March 16 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 15; pretrial: July 10; bail: personal recognizance.
-Timothy John McDonald, 63, possession of a controlled substance; arrested April 30 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
-Angela Fay Rodriguez, 45; truancy; arrested Oct. 27, 2022 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
-Ian Boyd Stack, 37, stray dog running loose; arrested May 23 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned June 15; pretrial: July 10; bail: personal recognizance.
-Blake Joseph Vargas, 26, driving while license suspended; arrested May 10 by Michigan State Police; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: personal recognizance.
-Hal Durand Hazard, 69, refusal to obey a traffic order from a police officer and failure to display a valid driver’s license; arrested May 29 by Michigan State Police; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: personal recognizance.
-Fred Huston Darnell Chandler, 66, driving while license suspended and failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance); arrested June 5 by Michigan State Police; arraigned June 15; pretrial: June 26; bail: personal recognizance.
-Jacob Robert Brody, 31; operating a watercraft withing 100 feet of a dock or raft; arrested May 25 by DNR; arraigned June 15; pleaded guilty.
