Warrant arrest tops police activity 

The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Wednesday, June 21, 2023:

  • 12:56 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 30-year-old Hart man was arrested on two outstanding Mason County warrants, Oceana Drive and Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township. One warrant is for failure to appear on a retail fraud charge, and the second warrant is for failure to pay a booking fee.
  • 7:55 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • ​8:29 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 14-year-old Ludington boy was petitioned to the Mason County Juvenile Court on a charge of retail fraud, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. The teen was released to a grandparent and will be notified to appear later.
  • 10:15 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.

Thursday, June 22, 2023:

  • ​12:27 a.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the 79th District Court, 900 block of Tinkham Ave​nue, City of Ludington.
  • ​3:36 a.m., (LPD), ​a 50-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license suspended, Ludington and Washington​ avenues, City of Ludington.
