Two injured in US 10-31 crash

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 10-31 and Stiles Road Thursday, May 11. Emergency responders were initially dispatched to the crash at 5:10 p.m. 

According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, a 31-year-old Pentwater woman was driving westbound on US 10-31 when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old East Lake man. The man was eastbound on US 10-31 and attempting to make a left-hand turn, heading north on Stiles Road. 

The Pentwater woman received injuries as did the 66-year-old female passenger in the other vehicle. Both were transported by ambulance to Corewell Health Ludington Hospital where they were treated for non life-threatening injuries, Cole said. 

Responding emergency units included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Scottville Fire Department, Ludington Fire Department, and Life EMS.
