The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023:

• 5:17 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Custer Road south of Treml Road, Free Soil Township.
• 9:56 a.m., (Ludingon Police Department), a 35-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested for retail fraud, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. The man, who was out of jail on bond, is also being charged for violating a bond. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 6:37 p.m. (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Hansen Road, Custer Township.

Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023:

• 1:06 a.m., (LPD), a 21-year-old Shelby man was cited for driving without a license, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, City of Ludington.
