Circuit court sentencings, posted Jan. 18, 2023

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced for felony offenses in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023. 

Babcock

– Shawn Michael Babcock, 45. Charged with two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer (counts 1 and 2), one count (count 3) of operating a motor vehicle without security (insurance) and one count of operating a motor vehicle while license suspended, revoked or denied (count 4). The count of operating without security was dismissed. He was found guilty by a jury, following a trial that was held Dec. 1, 2022, on one count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and operating a vehicle while license suspended. Sentencing: count 1, 12 months in jail with credit for 330 days served; count 4, 93 days in jail with credit for 93 days served; fines and fees; sentencings to run concurrent. 

Hasty-Ruschkewicz

– Jordan Lee Hasty-Ruschkewicz, 33, of Hart. Charged with domestic violence and/or knowingly assaulting a pregnant individual and sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 73 days served; 18 months probation; fines and fees. 

Lopez

– Tony Jerome Lopez, 48. Charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) and sentenced to 12 months in jail with credit for 93 days served; 36 months probation; fines/fees. 

Smith

– Alexander Carl Smith, 37. Charged with financial transaction device – stealing/retaining without consent (three counts) and sentenced to nine months in jail (all three counts) with credit for 91 days served; fines and fees. 

Strejcek

– Jared Wilson Strejcek, 25. Charged with carrying a concealed weapon (count 1), unlawful use of a license plate (count 2, dismissed), operating a vehicle while license suspended, revoked, denied. Sentencing: Count 1, 90 days in jail with credit for 69 days served; 69 days with credit for 69 days served. Sentencings to run concurrent. 

Alldaffer

– Richard Armond Alldaffer, 48. Charged with controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy (count 1), carrying a concealed weapon (count 2, dismissed), alerting ID marks on a firearm (count 3, dismissed), operating a vehicle while license suspended, revoked, denied (count 4, dismissed), weapons felony firearm (count 5, dismissed), possession of a loaded firearm in or upon a vehicle (count 6, dismissed), short barreled shotgun/rifle possession (count 7, dismissed). Sentencing: count 1, 126 days in jail with credit for 126 days served, fines/fees.
