Youth Advisory Council set to be Lake Jump beneficiary

LUDINGTON — The Mason County Youth Advisory Council of the Community Foundation for Mason County has been selected by the Ludington Lake Jump board to be this year’s beneficiary of the jump. The jump has traditionally taken place in early spring at Stearns Park beach.

The mission of the MCYAC is to promote youth as philanthropists by engaging them in grant making and community service opportunities. The council consists of Mason County teens.

The council’s purpose for raising funds from the Lake Jump will be utilized to promote awareness of mental health, school stress and substance abuse issues and also to add funds to the council’s endowment grant at the foundation, which would be used for future grants.

A date for the jump has not been set yet.
