AMBER TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has requested an arrest warrant from the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for a 38-year-old Detroit woman following a reported assault on a 15-year-old that occurred on Friday, Nov. 25. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1200 block of West Harold Street at 2:53 p.m. on Friday for the reported assault. According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, upon arrival deputies learned the suspect had left the scene. Cole said the incident continues to be investigated.

  • 3:45 a.m., MCSO: Larceny of a handgun, 800 block of South Gordon Road, Amber Township. Complainant reported the theft of a Glock pistol from a vehicle parked at a residence. 
  • 10:45 a.m, MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10-31 east of Brye Road, Amber Township. 
  • 12:08 p.m., MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. 
  • 1:50 p.m., MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 north of North Scottville Road, Custer Township. 
  • 3:20 p.m., MCSO: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 and Fountain Road, Sherman Township. 
  • 9:11 p.m., MCSO: A 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested for possession of methamphetamines at State Street (US 10) and Reinberg Avenue, City of Scottville, following a traffic stop. 

Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022

  • 2:47 a.m., LPD: A 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault and battery in the 600 block of North Lakeshore Drive. The 22-year-old female victim was not injured. 
  • 12:42 p.m., MCSO: Deputies are investigating a complaint of retail fraud (shoplifting) and property damage from Scottville Wesco, 117 N. Main St., City of Scottville. A store clerk reported that a man came into the store and attempted to purchase liquor and pre-pay for gasoline. He was denied the sale of the liquor due to seeming to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He then allegedly placed a bottle of liquor in his pocket and left, pulling the gas pump hose out of the pump when he was leaving.   
  • 8:57 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
