Thief or thieves cut catalytic converters from vehicles.

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the larceny theft of two catalytic converters in the 600 block of West First Street, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. “The complainant reported the theft of two catalytic converters — cut from vehicles,” said Sheriff Cole.

The theft was reported Friday, Nov. 4, shortly before 11 a.m.

  • 3 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Johnson Road, Amber Township.
  • 6:22 p.m., (MCSO), a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence/assault by strangulation following a 911 call reporting an assault, 2900 block of Lena Drive, Hamlin Township.
  • 9:12 p.m,. (MCSO), larceny of liquor, Wesco Eastgate, 5600 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022:

  • 12:21 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Beyer Road, Sherman Township.
  • 7:09 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Johnson Road, Amber Township.
  • 8:09 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 22-year-old Shelby man was arrested on an outstanding criminal bench warrant from the White Cloud Police Department and was cited for driving while licensee suspended (DWLS), US 10 and Schoenherr Road, Branch Township.

Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022:

  • 4:47 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Colburn Road, Sherman Township.
  • 12:28 p.m., (MCSO), a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for methamphetamine possession following a traffic stop, 5900 block of West First Street, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:34 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stephens Road south of Treml Road, Free Soil Township.
  • 7:21 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Peterson Road, Victory Township.
  • 8:55 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Hansen Road, Amber Township.
