ORV rider arrested for OWI and resisting arrest after rollover crash.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — A 42-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and resisting arrest by Mason County sheriff’s deputies after he reportedly rolled over the Polaris recreational vehicle he was operating Sunday, Oct. 23, shortly after 8 p.m. at Dewey and Amber roads, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. There were no reported injuries in the crash.

  • 11:05 p.m., (MCSO), a 39-year-old Manistee man was arrested following a traffic stop on an outstanding Manistee County Contempt of Court warrant, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.
  • 11:43 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 48-year-old Fountain woman was arrested for illegal entry following a 911 call of a break-in, 5900 block of Ford Lake Road, Sheridan Township. The suspect was known to the complainant, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022:

  • 1 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Beyer Road, Sherman Township.
  • ​2:29 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 21-year-old Manistee woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Ludington Avenue and Jackson Street​, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 2:40 a.m., (MCSO), ​a 41-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, Jebavy Drive and Johnson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:25 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway north of Sixth Street, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:47 a.m,. (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Main Street, Amber Township.
  • 6:55 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.

  • 2:10 a.m., (MCSO), a 24-year-old Fruitport man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Free Soil and Budzynski roads, Meade Township.
  • 10:28 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $55 in fuel stolen, Scottville Shell, 100 block of East State Street, City of Scottville.
  • 3:34 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 38-year-old Scottville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for methamphetamine possession, 1500 block of US 10, Amber Township.
  • 10:14 p.m., (LPD), ​a 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, 300 block of East Dowland Street​, City of Ludington. The victim, a 32-year-old Ludington woman, was not injured, according to Interim Police Chief Steve Wietrzykowski. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
