Mason County PAWS holding adoption event, photo contest

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Mason County PAWS Society will hold an Adoption Event Special on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Wags to Wiskers, 4815 W. US 10. During the event, the cat/kitten adoption fee is reduced to $20. Those who would like to adopt a cat should fill out the adoption application here.

Mason County PAWS Humane Society is also holding its inaugural pet Best Halloween Costume Photo Contest. Photos can be submitted to the organization’s Facebook page , include the pet’s name and age. Members will vote for the winners with their likes. The contest is underway and ends on Friday, Oct. 28 at 11 p.m. There will be three prizes: one for dogs, one for cats, and one for other type of pet. Winners will be announced during the adoption event.
