Crashes cause injuries.

Two separate vehicle crashes in Mason County Thursday, Sept. 22, resulted in injuries, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The first crash, which occurred around 3:15 p.m. at Pere Marquette Highway and the northbound US 31 off-ramp in Pere Marquette Township, involved two vehicles. A 33-year-old Ludington man and 27 year-old Ludington woman both were treated at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital, said Sheriff Cole.

The second crash, which was a single-vehicle rollover, occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Stiles Road south of Anthony Road in Riverton Township. An 18-year-old Fountain woman was injured when the vehicle she was operating left the road and rolled over, said Cole.

The following is other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022:

  • 7:02 a.m., assault, Progress Drive, Pere Marquette Township. A 50-year-old Ludington man received injuries following a reported assault. The report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office related to a 44-year-old Ludington man who allegedly committed the assault.
  • 7:45 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Angling Road south of Fountain Road, Victory Township.
