Armed suspect shot by officer.

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — The 51-year-old armed robbery suspect who was on the loose following an armed robbery in Oceana County’s Golden Township early Wednesday morning, Sept. 7, was shot by a Mason County officer and apprehended Friday, Sept. 9.

Harold Raymond Labeau is alive and was being transported to an area hospital, Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast confirmed early Friday afternoon.

“A Mason County officer confronted the suspect, and he has been shot. He’s alive and he’s being transported,” said Sheriff Mast. The incident occurred near the Wishing Well convenience store near Pentwater.
