Pedestrian avoids serious injury after being hit by car in eye care center parking lot.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP  — A 66-year-old Ludington woman received “non-life threatening injuries” after she was struck by a vehicle backing out of a parking spot at the Reimer Eye Center on Lawndale Street Wednesday, Aug. 10, shortly after 3 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

  • 11:51 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Meyers Road north of US 10, Amber Township.
  • 9:14 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles north of Fisher Road, Victory Township.
  • 10:22 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 34-year-old Ludington woman was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), Dowland Street and Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.​
