Thief/thieves steal from migrant bus while workers toil in the field.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — While migrant workers were toiling in the field Tuesday, July 26, a thief or thieves stole their money and personal items from a migrant work bus that was parked alongside the Scottville Road near Chauvez Road some time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been passing through the area of Scottville and Chauvez that may have observed anyone around this bus to call the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at (231) 843-3475 or Silent Observer hotline at (231) 742-3986,” said Sheriff Cole
