Grown Locally: Wilderplay, a nature-based pre-school.

Grown Locally is presented by House of Flavors Restaurant of Ludington and features locally owned businesses and locally produced products.

By Katie Provenzano, MCP Correspondent

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Wilderplay founder and owner Lisa Cooper combined Native American practices along with European models of forest kindergarten to create a nature-based pre-school experience. Students learn in three types of areas: indoor, outdoor, and beyond. The indoor space is used for preparation, the outdoor space functions as a classroom, and the beyond spaces are places to explore.

Wilderplay is expanding to a full-day schedule and increasing enrollment to 12 students for the 2022/2023 school year.
