Woman allegedly invades home and just sits on couch.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 42-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for home invasion Tuesday, July 19, shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Hansen Road after she entered a stranger’s home and just sat on the couch not talking to anyone, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, July 19, 2022 includes:

  • 6:30 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Hoague Road west of US 31, Grant Township.
  • 7:21 a.m., larceny from a vehicle, US 10 east of Reek Road, Custer Township. The complainant reported someone stole chainsaws and lawn gardening equipment from a vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
  • Noon, two-vehicle crash, no injury, Sixth Street and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:26 p.m., gas drive-off, $67.20 in fuel stolen, Airport Shell gas station, 5400 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
